Louis the Cards beat the Dodgers 6-2 behind Bob Gibson’s complete game it wasn’t his finest effort of the season giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, one in 2nd and one in the 9th. Al Downing for the Dodgers walked the leadoff batter Lou Brock, Matty Alou followed with a single putting runners on first and 3rd. Jose Cardenal hit a 2 out 2 run triple driving in both.
